What a busy year this year has been! It is hard to believe this academic year is almost over. Once again our students have excelled in everything they have done. As a teacher I feel immense pride when I look back at their fantastic achievements. Since our last blog entry we have had lots of exciting things happen in Rummies. Our busiest time of the year was in June when we ran the BTEC exams. Level one students planned, prepared and served a two course meal to their parents. This year saw our first students completing a Level two BTEC! These students prepared three courses in under three hours. As you can see from the pictures below the results were phenomenal. Our weekly meals have continued to run from strength to strength this year. From chicken salads to beef burritos, our dishes have been tasty, varied, creative and healthy. Our loyal customers love the variety of dishes and our welcoming students. I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for continuing to support us in everything we do. In the past few months our cake orders have really taken off. We have designed and made cakes for a number of events including birthdays, anniversaries and weddings. As well as large cakes, we have sold boxes of decorated cupcakes. Our students relish the opportunity to develop their piping and decorating skills. Huge improvements have been made due to the fantastic support we receive from our customers. We hope all our students, parents and carers have a fantastic summer and we look forward to seeing you all in September.
